My Singapore Holiday: A Kid’s Journey Full of Fun and Surprises

I had always dreamed of visiting Singapore. Whenever I saw pictures of tall buildings, colourful attractions, busy streets, and beautiful gardens, I wondered what it would be like to explore such an exciting destination. When my family finally told me that we were planning Singapore holidays, I could hardly believe it. I started counting the days immediately. From the moment our trip began, Singapore felt like a place full of surprises. Every day brought something new to see, taste, and experience. Here is how I remember my holiday to this heavenly site in the world.
My Exciting Journey to Singapore
The whole excitement started at the airport. I was carrying a small backpack with almost everything I thought I might need along the way. I packed snacks, a water bottle, and my notebook, where I thought to write down everything about my dream getaway. After a flight, we landed at the Singapore airport. I could not hold my smile while looking out the window. The feeling was so good knowing that I was about to explore my dream country with my siblings.
Exploring Gardens by the Bay
Gardens by the Bay was one of my favourite places to visit in Singapore. I had seen photographs of the famous supertrees before our trip, but seeing them in real life was a completely different experience. Stepping into Gardens by the Bay with my family was like entering a sensory-rich tropical paradise. I took pictures of me and my family in this exotic place to keep with me as a memory for a longer period. It was one of the best moments of my Singapore holidays for me.
A Fun Day at Sentosa Island
Swinging high above the water in the cable car, my stomach did a tiny flip. I was so happy watching exotic boats drift across the blue harbour below. The moment we touched down on Sentosa Island, another exciting part of my getaway started. I took part in so many excursions there. They included theme parks, watersports, interactive museums, as well as outdoor adventures. Believe it or not, every moment of our stay on Sentosa Island was certainly worth it.
Meeting Animals at Singapore Zoo
The sun was already piping hot, and my shirt was sticking to my back. But I didn’t care at all because that was going to be a wonderful day at Singapore Zoo. My mom was trying to put more sunscreen on my face, and Dad kept squinting at the park map. He was trying to figure out where to go first. The coolest part about the zoo is that there are barely any cages. I felt like I was walking through a real jungle. I interacted with so many animals at the zoo, and it was truly fun.
Savoring Delicious Food
My eyes practically popped out of my head the moment we walked into the Maxwell Food Centre. The place was a maze of steaming giant pots, bright neon lights, and smells that made my stomach growl incredibly loud. Day said hawker centres were the ultimate spot for mouthwatering dishes, and he was not joking at all. There was something special about the food here. Even the street food was so delicious. I couldn’t hold back from trying their yummy dishes.
Seeing Singapore from Above
Another truly unforgettable experience was seeing the heavenly sight of Singapore from a high viewpoint. Mom and Dad were busy taking thousands of photos on their mobile phones, and my little sister was pointing out at the huge glowing glass domes. The sun was just starting to go down, turning the whole sky bright and fierce orange. It was the most idyllic scenery that was hard to resist. I didn’t want to blink for a second because I was afraid, I would miss the moment.
Little Surprises Along the Way
Not every memorable moment happened at a famous attraction. The only thing I am trying to say is that there were little surprises at every step of my Singapore holidays. My absolute favourite moment was our night safari. We were riding the open-air tram through the dark forest when our guide quietly braked. The voices of animals singing at night were just fantastic. Singapore didn’t just feel like a vacation; it felt like a place where magic was hiding everywhere.
Saying Goodbye to Singapore
When it was finally time to say goodbye to Singapore, I was feeling bad. It was hard to believe that now I was about to leave my dream place. After packing our essentials, we headed to the airport to depart for our home country. As a kid, I can say that embarking on Singapore holidays was one of the best experiences of my life, which I will never forget in my life ahead.
